LIFE AND METAPHORIC MESSAGES OF BHAGAT BHEEKHAN

Bhagat Bheekhan was a Sufi Saint from the village Kakori in Uttar Pradesh was born in 1483 AD. Influenced by the ‘Bhakti’ and ‘Sufi’ period, he critiqued the futile practices of superstition and formalism. His words reflect that the panacea of human maladies is dispelled by inculcating the attribute of being a learner and not just a knower.

 

Bhagat Bheekhan’s spiritual message is inscribed in his 2 sabads (verses) in Guru Granth Sahib.
